The Belsazar Vermouth Dry is – with 19% Vol. – the strongest of the Belsazar family. Upon opening the bottle, you will be greeted by floral and fruity notes. On the palate, you will be more than satisfied with the aroma of sun-kissed mirabelles, apricots, fresh chamomile and yeast. The bitter notes of the wormwood underline the fruity aroma and end in a firework of bitter orange, gentian, coriander and a hint of quinine.
The ingredients for Belsazar Vermouth Dry come from the south of Baden-Württemberg. Only the best wines find their way into the dark bottles with the green labels. The grapes grow near the Kaiserstuhl mountain range and in the Markgräflerland. Like this, Belsazar guarantees short transport ways thus regionalism and sustainability.
The creative and talented heads behind the aromatic vermouth are Maximilian Wagner, Philipp Schladerer and Sebastian Brack. The three gourmets came to the conclusion one night, that there is no (good) vermouth from Germany. In order to change that, they made the plan to create their own.
For a perfectly dry „Belsazar Vermouth Cocktail“ you only need three ingredients. Mix 6 cl Gin with 3 cl Belsazar Vermouth Dry and 2 dashes of The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters in a stirring glass you previously filled with ice. Then strain the drink into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with a lemon zest and enjoy your tasty cocktail!
