The guys of Motörhead, led by Lemmy Kilmister, have long had a real knack for tasty drinks. They have since managed to impress drink lovers worldwide with their wine variations and a wonderful vodka. Considering Lemmy’s long-cherished fondness of delicious whisky, it was only a matter of time before there would be one such bearing the Motörhead logo. Motörhead Whisky comes in a limited release and proves once again that Motörhead’s talents not only consist of rocking everybody’s socks off!
After the band had already put their trust into the Swedish art of distilling with their vodka, they again chose a Swedish distillery for Motörhead Whisky. The Mackmyra Destillery created a sublime single malt whisky in close cooperation with the band members. The drink matures for five years in American white oak barrels and then another six months in Oloroso sherry barrels. The nose of the amber-coloured drink is rich with soft notes of almonds, vanilla, citrus, dried fruits, anise and tobacco. The palate is fruity, spicy and nutty as well with hints of tobacco leaves, citrus, almonds and vanilla.
